Access to finance
Solving the financial needs of business projects is key to their success. Through analysis and personalised advice, we offer alternatives within the Social and Solidarity Economy to facilitate access to finance for the organisations and cooperatives that want to create, expand or bolster their project.
The Federation of Worker Cooperatives of Catalonia manages the Access to Finance service, focusing on cooperatives as a driving force for change to transform the Catalan economic fabric and ensuring that the territorial impact on its cooperative fabric is prioritised.
Bloc4BCN’s Access to Finance service aims to be the gateway for the financial needs of cooperatives and other players of the social economy, with the desire to do a cross-cutting work with all entities that are experts in cooperative and ethical finance, through analysis and specialist advice, investment, banking operations, and knowledge and dissemination of specialised training. We want to put this knowledge at the service of SSE organisations and, at the same time, open and expand it to citizens to stress the value of differentiating features of a cooperative and ethical economy.
We put the analysed projects in contact with cooperative and ethical finance entities so that they can offer an appropriate product or service for the financial or investment needs of the project.
We will periodically organise funding rounds addressed to cooperatives and other organisations, and sessions for exchanging knowledge in collaboration with FEBEA and Social Economy Europe.
Moreover, the Access to Finance service will serve as a loudspeaker for the ecosystem of cooperative and ethical finance entities, with the aim of disseminating and raising awareness among SSE organisations, and citizens in general, by means of temporary exhibitions and specialised training sessions.
