The 2025 annual report describes the consolidation of this project as a reference for cooperativism and the social and solidarity economy in Barcelona and Catalonia, with the organization of nearly 3,000 activities including over 21,500 participants. Guidance has also been provided to more than 140 organizations, and 40 projects with 151 employees have been hosted.
2025 results show Bloc4BCN’s contribution to the economic reactivation of both the city and of Catalonia as a whole, with the creation of 7 new cooperatives, advisory support for nearly 200 projects, and the development of 3 intercooperation initiatives in the ecosocial and energy transition and in mental health in workplace settings. Furthermore, the competitiveness of cooperativism has also been improved with the promotion of innovation, research, and internationalization.
In addition, more quality jobs have been created, with 89 new hires—31 of which were by hosted organizations—and 11 internship contracts.
Moreover, cooperativism and the SSE have been promoted among the public, both through in-person visits to the space and digitally, via social media.
Finally, a contribution has been made to the creation of the Catalan social market, with the hiring of cooperatives for the management of the space, the contribution to the SSE strategy for Barcelona 2030, and the creation of strategic alliances with institutions such as universities or European cooperative organizations.
