Bloc 4 Association opens a new call to fill the position of
Communications Expert. The objective is to ensure compliance with the approved Communication Plan,
monitoring the quality of the image and the precision of the contents. They will report to
the Coordination of Bloc4BCN.
Bloc 4 Association is an organisation integrated by the Confederation of Cooperatives of Catalonia, the Federation of Worker Cooperatives of Catalonia and the Coòpolis Association – Cooperative Athenaeum. Its main task is to manage and lead the Bloc4BCN – Cooperative Hub project, one of the largest in Europe. The purpose of the project is to contribute to the development and socio-economic transformation of the city of Barcelona and the entire Catalan territory through raising awareness and promotion of cooperative movement, incubation and acceleration of cooperatives, boosting intercooperation, local and international connections and alliances with other cultural, educational and business actors.
Duties
➤ Monitoring, implementation and improvement of the communication strategy of the project.
➤ Coordination and copywriting of website content using SEO techniques.
➤ Preparation of newsletters and specific electronic mailings.
➤ Content creation, management and dynamisation of social media (LinkedIn, IG, X).
➤ Design and copywriting of internal and external communication materials.
➤ Creation of graphic materials and editing of audiovisual material.
➤ Relations with the media and networking with other entities.
Requirements and necessary skills
➤ Higher education in Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Corporate Communication or studies related to the field.
➤ Minimum two years of experience in carrying out similar duties.
➤ Catalan level C or equivalent.
➤ Ability to analyse, synthesise and manage information.
➤ High level of content copywriting.
➤ Knowledge of graphic design and audiovisual production tools.
➤ Ability to organise autonomously.
➤ Ability to work in a team and communication skills.
➤ Ability to synthesise, analyse and interpret content.
➤ Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish.
➤ Medium-level proficiency in the following tools:
Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), Canva,
CapCut, Analytics, Office package, WordPress (Elementor).
The following will be an advantage:
➤ Specific training in design and implementation of corporate communication plans and/or marketing
➤ Connections to cooperativism and SSE
➤ Knowledge and experience in the field of communication on the Social and Solidarity Economy.
➤ Knowledge of and connection to critical and transformative journalism.
➤ Knowledge of open-source tools.
➤ Having contacts from the mass media and the press, in the first instance, and from SSE, in the second.
We offer:
➤ 25 working hours a week (possibility of extension to 35 hours in the first months).
➤ Working at Bloc4BCN (Barcelona), the new centre for cooperativism in Barcelona.

➤ Annual gross salary of €17.600,00 (25h).
